Worked in a team of 300. My duties were to work with multiple sub-teams to get API request into a pure ReactJS site

Professional / Web
This was my first professional software development role, at Webonise Labs — a software services company based in India. I was placed on a large client project for DRF (Daily Racing Form), one of the leading horse racing data and betting platforms in the US.
The project involved a team of around 300 people split across many sub-teams, each responsible for different parts of the platform. My contribution was on the ReactJS frontend, specifically building and updating the live news feed — the component that surfaces race news, results, and updates in real time to users on the site.
Built and updated React components for the live news feed section
of the platform — consuming REST API endpoints to fetch race news and results,
rendering them in a responsive feed layout, and handling the update cycle to
keep content fresh without full page reloads.
Working within a team of this scale meant learning to operate inside an
established codebase, follow existing patterns and coding standards, coordinate
with sub-teams through defined API contracts, and ship changes that integrate
cleanly without disrupting other parts of the platform. A valuable first
lesson in professional software development at scale.
